Reset your mobile Wi-Fi device to its original state

You may want to reset your mobile Wi-Fi™ device to the original factory settings if you are trying to resolve issues with your device (for example, it can't connect) or if you are giving the mobile Wi-Fi device to someone else.

CAUTION: This should only be done as a last resort. Resetting your mobile Wi-Fi device deletes your personal settings. All web-based management settings and parameters are restored to their default values.

You can use one of the following methods to reset your device to its original settings:

Using the reset button

  1. Turn your mobile Wi-Fi device on.
  2. Remove the battery cover from your mobile Wi-Fi device.
  3. Press and hold the Reset button with a pin until the mobile Wi-Fi device turns off.

Your mobile Wi-Fi device is restored to its original factory settings.

Using Web Partner Manager

  1. Turn your mobile Wi-Fi device on.
  2. Connect the mobile Wi-Fi device to your computer with the USB cable.
  3. Launch your web browser.
  4. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press the Enter key.
    NOTE: If you are using Internet Explorer and this does not work, try the following:
    1. Press the Alt key on your keyboard.
    2. From your browser menu, click File.
    3. Click Open..
    4. The Open window appears. Type 192.168.1.1 in the text field.
    5. Click OK.
  5. Log in with your password. Typically, this is admin (unless you've changed it).
  6. Click Settings.
  7. From the left pane, click System.
  8. Click Factory Reset.
  9. Click Reset.
  10. Click OK.

Your mobile Wi-Fi device is restored to its original factory settings.
